If you were at DevSecCon London this past week, you were most likely present for our very first DevSecOps Leadership Awards ceremony. In September, we announced a special Leadership Awards program to recognize individuals, teams, and companies that have made a significant impact to the DevSecOps community.

Winners

We are delighted to formally announce the winners of this year’s awards in three categories:

Inspiring DevSecOps individual of 2019

Rewarding unique achievements by a forward-thinking individual that has contributed significantly to the industry and community.

Winner: Mohammed A. Imran

Mohammed was nominated for his DevSecOps course and praised as being “amazing, insightful and informative” while helping others progress along their DevSecOps journey. He also has a giving spirit and recently released a free course that is available weekly via email.

Most effective DevSecOps team of 2019

Rewarding teams that have made significant improvements in 2019 to improve and create a robust DevSecOps solution in their organization.

Winner: Telstra

Telstra was nominated for launching a DevOps Security initiative in 2018 that has been recognized across Australia and impacted Developers globally through providing industry training, tooling and enhanced DevOps Security processes.

Outstanding DevSecOps Community of 2019

Rewarding the hard work and contributions made through education and community building from DevSecOps meetups and events.

Winner: DevSecOps London Gathering

The DevSecOps London Gathering is being recognized for its consistency in holding its monthly meetups with great speakers discussing real work issues and solutions, and providing a great learning forum. Michael Man has worked hard to build a friendly and welcoming security meetup with the community’s best interests as the main focus.

Please join us in congratulating this year’s winners for a job well done!

Nominations for the 2020 Awards will open in May, so stay tuned.
