We know that not everyone who wants to come to DevSecCon will be able to afford it, some people’s personal or financial circumstances will make this difficult. As part of our new scholarship scheme we set aside a number of free tickets to make the conference open and accessible.

The aim is to lower the barriers for underrepresented groups in tech to be able to attend, have access to our content and networking opportunities. This includes but isn’t limited to: women, people of colour, LGBTQIA+ individuals, disabled people and those facing economic or social hardship.

The scheme is open for all to apply to: we ask applicants a few questions about what they do in tech, or what they wish to learn on the event and for some personal details for the tickets itself. Your answers will help us to evaluate the applications and award the tickets. Chosen applicants will receive access to all conference content, food, drink and all extras.

To make sure you get the best out of your conference experience, there will be an an experienced member of the community acting as a guide at the event – a friendly face there to help and to introduce you to other people at the event.

If you’re an aspirant or current Development, DevOps or IT Security professional without access to the funds to buy your ticket, you should apply. We will award tickets to people who can show that the knowledge gained will be useful for their ongoing career.
